New Year New Drive
New year!
New year!
We made it !
The start of a new year is an awesome occasion for people all over the world, to reflect on past events in their lives and if necessary to obtain a new drive for the new year.
New year is a “fan-holy-tastic” moment to grab new opportunities and changes.
Well, I believe a new year resolution is a tradition which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their lives.
Here I go, clutching a cup slightly full of new year’s resolution, I want you all to take a read:
* Be You : These two words might be easy to pronounce but difficult to portray. In the 21st century, it is quite elusive for individuals to bring out their own traits, capabilities or potentials. I used the word “individual” in this context due to the central focus ‘Be you’, therefore be a separate human with unique dispositions unlike others.
Julius Charles Hare ones said; “Be what you are this is the first step toward becoming better than you are”.
In the journey of being you, admire your imperfections and know your worth.
** Cling to your budget: Money, Money, Money !
Your budget should be a reflection of your life. Well, thats my conviction. The need to decide where money goes is based on individual preferences but let us spend less and save more. Sticking to available funds might be a hard nut to crack, but you can by ditching a couple of things on the wish list and get pragmatic about how much money to spend in any given situation. For food, transportation, health, personal, giving, housing and saving. There should be a percentage of money allocated to each division. This will give you a clue of how to spend wisely and avoid taking funds from others.
*** Volunteer : The human race is about making life by what you give. Volunteering is an activity of providing services for no gain or benefit. The streets of Accra is engulfed with hungry and homeless people. All it takes to be a volunteer is patience, selfless and compassionate individual who choose to help make the world a better place. You can donate your clothes, blankets or non-perishable food to people who are in dire need of these resources.
**** Exercise : A healthy minds dwells in a healthy body. It is not all about eating a balance diet but it also involves physical activities such as aerobic exercise, strength training and stretching done in order to become stronger and healthier. Research, has shown that exercise can slow or help prevent heart diseases, stroke, high blood pressure, etc. Everyone needs to pipe up their exercise tap.
Embrace the new year and find opportunities hidden in each day.
Awesome. πβ¨
